First to the finish wins — shove rivals into the trees!
Ten skiers race down the slope; you are the blue one. First to the finish line wins.
Steer. Hold ← or → to turn, and let go to straighten. A turn that goes on and on slows you.
Tuck. Hold ↓ to go straight down, which is the fastest way. The view zooms in while you tuck.
Brake. Hold ↑ (the Brake button) to slow down.
Jump. Space (the Jump button) hops you into the air. Trees, rocks and stumps crash you, and a jump beats a Yeti that reaches you.
Ski through an item box to pick one up (the further behind you are, the better it is). Shift (the Item button) uses it.
Speed. A short burst of speed.
Shield. A few seconds of protection. It knocks down any rival you touch and smashes a Yeti.
Snowball. Thrown the way you are skiing. It homes in on a rival and spins them out.
Trap. An ice patch left behind you. A rival who skis onto it spins out.
Yeti. Sends the snow-beast after whoever leads the race. It can come from behind, from the side or from ahead.
Blizzard. A storm that slows every rival who has no Shield.
The strip at the bottom is the whole course with a dot for every skier. The tab under it shows your place.
Arrows at the top and bottom edge point to rivals out of view, with their place and how far away they are.
A red flash that says YETI means the Yeti is after you. The words show where it is coming from: behind, an arrow to a side, or a down arrow for ahead. When it rises from the snow beside or ahead of you, you have a second to jump or use a Shield.
Wooden signs on both sides of the track count down the metres still to go.
READY, STEADY, SKI: the skiers are already moving when the race begins. For the first two seconds nobody can bump anyone, and everyone blinks. Cross the line and you coast to a stop, then the results appear.
